Congratulations to Ms. Lunsford, school librarian, and Ms. Lissa, art teacher, on becoming a National Board Certified Teacher. Congratulations to AIG Teacher Ms. Swann for renewing her certification.
National Board certification is a rigorous process in which educators plan in-depth lessons for students multiple learning ways, reflect and write extensively on their teaching and take a test in their specific content area. The certification must also be renewed every 5 years. According to the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, “National Board Certification is the most respected professional certification available in education and provides numerous benefits to teachers, students and schools.”
