Did you know that teaching coding to elementary students helps them to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills? Last week Woodfin students spent time in the media center learning how to code. Ms. Sullivan's enrichment classes had a great day! 1st graders worked on organizing and graphing skittle data in order to answer questions. 2nd graders used pentominoes in an activity called "Cover with 3" where they had to find the arrangement to cover a shape using only 3 pentomino pieces. 3rd graders worked on a STEM building challenge. 4th graders chose an inventor to research and are now making flyers using Google Drawing to share what they learned. #weareerwin #bcs #wolverinepride #woodfin
